What's the deal with these? I don't really get how they work. Does anyone have experience with these?

Hi, I have taken a hybrid class and basically it's a little bit of classroom and a little bit of online. You do part of the class online and then other parts you need to go to class and do it. It's great if you are short on time and can't go to class all the time. but it can get confusing sometimes.

A hybrid class combines classroom learning with online learning. It is a course combines the best features of in-class teaching with the best features of online learning to promote active student learning.

Hybrid classes are a combination of online and classroom instruction. We like to think of a hybrid class as very similar to an online class, Students and teacher work online online via the Internet, but they also meet part of the time usually one day a week in the classroom. In a hybrid course, a significant portion of the class learning activities are online, which reduces the amount of time spent in a traditional, face-to-face classroom.

With the hybrid classes mode the mane shortcoming of online education is removed - the lack of live communication. However online learning is often chosen for studying abroad when you have no opportunity to visit a school regularly..
